The New Standard

Sell your art to every fan—not just the highest bidder.

Your followers love your work but can't afford a $3,000 original. ArtBoxes lets your entire community own a piece of your story for the price of a print, while you target your full asking price.

How it works

Artist-configured boxes.

The idea borrows from loot boxes, but the professional version is a transparent, artist-configured sale for physical work.

You list a collection of "boxes." Some contain the rights to your original physical artwork; the rest contain a guaranteed thank-you gift—like a signed print or digital reproduction rights.

Fans can open their boxes to see if they’ve won, or trade their boxes on the secondary market as the odds change in real-time.

Why Artists Love It

More reach, more revenue.

  • Turn followers into collectors.

A $25 box is a low barrier that converts passive followers into paying supporters. Every one of them walks away with something.

  • Earn on every resale.

Unopened boxes can be traded on the secondary market before they're claimed. You earn a royalty on every flip, so your income grows as demand builds.

  • Keep what you earn.

Most galleries take a huge cut. Our fees are an order of magnitude less, so more of every sale goes directly to you, from the initial sale to every eligible resale after.

The Math

More goes to you.

Traditional galleries take up to 50%. ArtBoxes takes a small fraction, putting the majority of the sale, plus ongoing royalties, directly back in your studio.

Why the different fees? In the Tradable model, ongoing royalties help us keep the initial fee low. In the Direct model, the one-time fee covers the platform costs.

Real-time engagement. As boxes are opened and "non-winners" are revealed, the odds for the remaining boxes go up. This drives secondary market trading, triggering more royalties for you.

Your Rules

Highly configurable sales.

  • You set the price and odds.

You decide the "buy-in" and the number of boxes. Whether it's 50 boxes at $100 or 500 boxes at $10, you're the boss.

  • You choose the prizes.

Decide what the non-winners get. A signed postcard? A digital process video? Whatever fits your brand and your fans' budget.

  • Tradable or not?

Choose the Tradable model to let fans flip boxes and earn you royalties, or the Direct model for a simple, one-time sale.

  • What if it doesn't sell out?

You decide the backup plan. End the sale early and keep the boxes already sold live, or offer refunds. It's all transparent to your fans from day one.

Common Questions

The stuff you’re probably wondering.

Is this gambling?

No. This is a purchase of a "blind box" item. Every buyer is guaranteed to receive an item of value (like your print or gift) at the time of purchase. It’s a fun way to sell art, not a wager for cash.

How are winners picked?

We use transparent, verifiable randomization. If you’re tech-savvy, you can even verify the "fairness" of the results yourself through the public ledger. No humans decide the outcome.

Revealing a prize vs Claiming

Revealing a prize means you opened a box and found the "Golden Ticket" for the physical art. Claiming is when you officially request the artist to ship it to your house.

Who ships the work?

The artist ships the piece directly to the person who claims it. When you set up your sale, you’ll define your own shipping regions—once a claim is made within those zones, we’ll provide the details so you can get the art to its new home safely.

Do I keep the copyright?

Always. You are selling the physical piece, but you retain all the rights to the image and future prints, just like a traditional sale.
